Laser Plano Convex Lens focuses light into a point. It is characterized by a positive focal length, one side is flat and the other side is convex. It plays the role of converging and shaping light beams in laser optical systems. In order to reduce spherical aberration, when laser plano convex lenses are used for collimated beam focusing, the beam should be incident on the lens curved surface, when used for point light source collimation, the beam is incident on a plane.
