Polarization refers to the phenomenon that the vibration vector of the transverse wave (perpendicular to the propagation direction of the wave) is biased in certain directions. Longitudinal waves are not polarized. The asymmetry of the vibration direction with respect to the propagation direction is called polarization, which is an obvious sign that the transverse wave is different from other longitudinal waves.
The optical element that can turn natural light into polarized light is called a polarizer. The polarizer has the function of shielding and transmitting the incident light, which can transmit longitudinal light or transverse light in one way and shield in the other way.
AOS Optics can provide you with a variety of standard and non-standard optical components, and we can also customize high-power laser lenses, laser windows, laser prisms, laser polarizers, etc. that meet your requirements. If you have any questions or needs, you can contact us at any time, thank you.
