The optical properties of zinc sulfide make it a key material in infrared optical systems, especially in applications that require high transmittance and good mechanical properties. Zinc sulfide (ZnS) has high optical transmittance in multiple spectral bands such as near-infrared, mid-infrared, and far-infrared, and is an important optoelectronic functional material.
CVD Zinc Sulfide (ZnS MS) is a chemically inert material with the characteristics of high purity, insolubility in water, moderate density, and easy processing. It has a relatively wide transmission range and has a high transmittance in the wavelength range of 600nm-10 microns. Zinc sulfide (ZnS) is widely used in the production of infrared windows, fairings, and infrared optical components.
Like zinc selenide (ZnSe) material, zinc sulfide (ZnS) is also a material with good refractive index uniformity and consistency, and has good image transmission performance. This material also has high transmittance in the mid-infrared band. Compared with zinc selenide (ZnSe), zinc sulfide (ZnS) has high hardness, high fracture strength, and strong ability to resist harsh environments.
